Socialization and Simulation of Fire Prevention and Handling at Muhammadiyah University of Aceh in 2023

Abstract

Workplace fires are a unpredictable event. Therefore, all employees must understand methods of fire prevention and mitigation to prevent material losses, injuries, or even fatalities. This initiative aims to educate all members of the university on fire prevention and mitigation. Using an interactive educational approach, the activity involved 81 participants, including leaders, staff, and students. The activity was conducted on December 11, 2023. It is anticipated that this initiative yield positive outcomes and enhance participants' understanding of fire prevention and mitigation. Consequently, it is hoped that the management of Universitas Muhammadiyah Aceh will regularly conduct socialization activities on fire prevention and mitigation, ensuring that all members of Universitas Muhammadiyah Aceh possess a comprehensive understanding of these crucial practices.
