Abstract

Every parent dreams of optimal child growth and development, because it can prevent various diseases. Problems that arise related to children's growth and development are nutritional problems that can cause stunting (failure to grow and develop) as a result of basic nutritional needs not being met. Riskesdas in 2018, the incidence of stunting reached 10.2% with a prevalence of 30.8% in Indonesia. The problem of stunting in society is generally influenced by a lack of nutritional intake, the presence of infectious diseases, mothers' low knowledge of children's nutritional needs, wrong parenting patterns, and poor sanitation. Of course, in order to increase public understanding regarding stunting incidents, it is still necessary to provide education among the community, especially mothers, about monitoring growth and development in preventing stunting incidents in children. This community service is carried out using the method of presenting material or providing education and followed by a discussion session. The results show that the public increasingly understands and knows that it is very important to monitor children's growth and development and have an impact on it.
