Abstract

Parenting stress is a series of processes that lead to undesirable psychological conditions and psychological reactions that arise in an effort to adapt to the demands of the parenting role. Parenting is one of the things that is clearly visible during the Covid-19 pandemic, the impact is clearly visible on parents who are with their children at home for almost 24 hours. Parenting stress becomes pressure in carrying out care for children. The aim of this service is to increase parents' knowledge about appropriate parenting methods during the Covid-19 pandemic. This service activity was given to parents and teachers at the SD IT Darul Quran Al Aziziyah Banda Aceh school. This activity was carried out using Zoom meetings, via Webinar, by presenting materials, videos, and questions and answers regarding parenting carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic. An evaluation is given to see the level of parental knowledge in understanding parenting methods during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results show that parents have a better understanding of the right methods in parenting so that they do not experience stress in raising them. This service activity is expected to increase parents' awareness of the importance of proper parenting of children.
