Bantuan Pengukuran Kekuatan Struktur Rumah Bantuan Pasca Tsunami di Meuraxa, Banda Aceh

Kota Banda Aceh merupakan daerah yang paling parah kerusakannya akibat bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami di Aceh tahun 2004. Karena begitu banyaknya proyek rekonstruksi yang perlu dibangun, terdapat banyak variasi desain dan kualitas rumah karena berasal sumber bantuan yang beragam. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mengukur kekuatan rumah bantuan. Setelah lebih dari 15 tahun dihuni maka kualitas ketahanan struktur rumah bantuan jelas terlihat. Kegiatan dilakukan di Kecamatan Meuraxa di mana korban jiwa mencapai 92,72%. Secara random, diambil 5 gampong (dusun) dari total 9 yang ada dengan 10 rumah masing-masing sehingga total 50 hunian berhasil dievaluasi. Pengukuran struktur beton menggunakan alat Hammer Test. Hasil kekuatan struktur beton, maka secara berurutan kualitas yang baik adalah Gampong Blang, Lambung, Cot Lamkuweh, dan Blang Oi. Sementara sampel di Gampong Lamjabat menunjukkan tidak satu pun memenuhi persyaratan. Harapannya hasil pengukuran ini menjadi perhatian penghuni serta pemerintah daerah.
